John "Pap" Walter Buie Jr.

Mr. John “Pap” Walter Buie Jr. 67 of 5239 Heather St., Hope Mills, NC, formerly of Roseboro, died Monday, November 27, 2017 at Highsmith Rainey Specialty Hospital in Fayetteville, NC.

Mr. Buie was born August 12, 1950 in Sampson Co. the son of the late, John Walter Buie & Nicey Buie. He was preceded in death by a son, Ryheem Wright, four siblings Edward Lee, Hazel Moseley, and Jeanette Bozeman, and Barbara Buie-Newkirk. He was a retired concrete foreman with Daniels Construction Co.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 02, 2017 at First Missionary Baptist Church Roseboro 412 Johnson St., Roseboro, NC, by the Reverend John T. Oliver.  Burial will follow in the Rockfish Memorial Park 4017 Gillespie St., Fayetteville, NC 28306.

John leaves to cherish his memories to his children Command Sergeant Major Bennie B. Anderson (Lisa) of Hope Mills, NC and Aaron Walter Robinson of Lancaster, PA.

Four sisters, Bettie Buie and Lena Boykin of Wilmington, NC, Lula Powell (Jason) of Lancaster, PA and Audrey Buie of Concord, NC. One brother, James W.  Buie (Elaine) of Salt Lake City, UT. He leaves a host of dear nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Repast with little refreshments will be held at the home of Bennie & Lisa Anderson, 5239 Heather St., Hope Mills, NC after the committal service at cemetery.

The public will be received from 1:00P.M.6:00P.M., Friday, December 01, 2017 at Carter Funeral Home, with family present from 4:00 P.M.-6:00P.M.
