Betty Jewel Beatty

Ms. Betty Jewel Beatty, 73, of 804 College St., Clinton, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 26, 2022, at UNC Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.

Betty was born February 17, 1949, in Sampson County, to the late James R. Beatty and Naomie Ruth Williams Beatty. In addition to her parent’s Betty is preceded in death by one son: Patrick Beatty, four brothers: Thurman Butler; Cherry Beatty; James Weldon Beatty; Herman Butler, and one sister: Elizabeth Beatty.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 01, 2023, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland. Interment to follow at the Bear Skin Baptist Church Cemetery in Roseboro. Pastor Thelma Waters will be officiating the service.

Betty leaves to cherish her memory one son: Joseph W. Beatty of Rose Hill, one daughter: Donnette Beatty of Kinston, one sister: Elma Garnett of Ft. Washington, MD, and two grandchildren: Joseph W. Beatty Jr.; Tamia N. Beatty, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022, from 1:00-5:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
