Willie "Joe" Joseph Faison

Willie Joseph Faison was born February 23, 1930, to the late Robert (Bob) James Faison, Sr., and his wife Genaro Faison, in Duplin County, NC. He entered into his rest on Friday, April 14, 2023, at home in Ingold, NC. “Willie” to some and “Joe” to some, was loved by those who knew him. He will be truly missed by family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by seven siblings: Daisy Bell Faison, Geraldine Wimberly, Aner Faison, Robert J. Faison, Jr., Sylvester Faison, Christine Eley, and Harold A. Faison. Joe enjoyed a career as a Fork Lift Driver in the Lumber Industry for many years.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland, NC. Interment to follow at Faison Cemetery, 10179 Garland Hwy., Clinton, NC. The Reverend Donta Murphy will be officiating the service.

Joe leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 57 years, Jean T. Faison, son, Anellio M. Faison (Christina), grandchildren, Kwame Murphy, and Ronnie J. Faison, siblings, Sallie M. Brunson, Newburgh, NY, Alfonza Jeffers, Clinton, NC, Mary E. Royal (James), Clinton, NC, Bertha Faison, Clinton, NC, special niece, Kamara Eley, special nephew, James L. Faison, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, who loved him dearly.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 1:00-6:00 PM, with the family present from 5:00-6:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
