Willie Hue Lee II

Willie Hue Lee II, born on December , 1987, in Sampson County, North Carolina, departed this life on February 25, 2025, at the Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton, North Carolina. He was a beloved son, brother, and friend, known for his warm spirit and kind heart.

Willie's journey in life was marked by deep connections with family and friends. He is survived by his devoted mother, Priscilla S. Kelly, and step-father, Michael Kelly, who provided unwavering support throughout his life. His cherished grandmother, Mary Sellers of Harrells, was an important figure in his upbringing, instilling values that shaped him into the person he became. He shared a close bond with his brothers, Marvin Rideout Jr. of Media, PA, and Marcus Rideout of Goldsboro, NC, as well as with his step-sister, CiJi Hernandez of Lumberton, NC. Willie's family was additionally blessed to have the guidance and love of his godparents, Aunt Katie and Uncle Bob Greer of Harrells, NC, who played a significant role in his life, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

As his community gathers to honor his memory, a visitation with family will take place on March 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM, followed by a memorial service starting at 12:00 PM/Noon. Both events will be held at Keathern Baptist Church, located at 92 Bland School Road, Harrells, NC. Reverend Jeffery Howard will be officiating the service.

Willie's legacy will continue through the love of those who knew him and the memories they hold dear. He will be deeply missed, yet fondly remembered for his infectious laughter and his ability to brighten any room.
