William "Rick" Lewis Stevens Jr.

Mr. William “Rick” Lewis Stevens Jr., 75, of 45 Land Lane, White Lake, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Rick was born July 10, 1947, in Arlington, Virginia to the late Dorothy America Garrett & William Lewis Stevens. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister: Debra N. Stevens. Rick was a proud career soldier having served in the Army as a Golden Knight. He received a Bronze Star and numerous other awards for his service in the military, including time served in the Vietnam War.  After retirement from the Army, Rick was able to continue to help people through his Home Improvement Business.

A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Friendship Baptist Church, 1989 Bull St., Garland. Pastor Gary McMillan will be officiating. A repast will be held in the church Fellowship Hall following the service.

Rick leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife: Brenda F. Stevens of the home, two daughters: Cynthia S. Dove of Fayetteville; and Wendy Batchelor of Jacksonville, FL, one son: William L. Stevens III of Fayetteville and 4 grandchildren: Peyton; AJ; Joey; and Mia.
