William Thomas Smith

Mr. William Thomas Smith, 70, of 556 W. 2nd St. Garland, NC passed away Saturday May 30, 2020 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton, NC.

Mr. Smith was born April 07, 1950 in Sampson County, the son of the late Wade Vance Smith and Dorothy Louise Smith.  Mr. Smith was a former employee of Turlington Lumber Company and Tony's Cabinets.  He was a former member and longtime attendee of the Garland Church of God of Prophecy. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife; Helen Faye Smith, sister; Alice Johnson, two brothers; Donald Ray Smith, Wade Malcom Smith and granddaughter; Lindsay Jordan Spell.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 02, 2020 at Garland Church of God of Prophecy. Interment to follow in the Garland Cemetery.

Mr. Smith is survived by four daughters; Lisa Powell (Ricky), Wanda Johnson (Andy), Penny Spell all of Garland and Angela Spell (Randy) of Roseboro, two brothers; Leroy Smith (Mildred) and Bobby Smith (Glenda) both of Garland, two sisters; Shirley Tippet (Junior) of Burlington and Brenda Sessoms (Sonny) of Roseboro, 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday, June 02, 2020 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Garland Church of God of Prophecy.
