William Leslie Smith

Mr. William Leslie Smith, 73, of 1676 Green Sea Rd. Garland, NC, passed away on Saturday, July 01, 2023, at his residence.

Mr. Smith was born September 22, 1949, in Bladen Co. North Carolina, the son of the late David Jessup Smith and Rossie Allen Pate Smith. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by two brothers, Franklin Smith, and Ronald Smith, and one sister, Lula Hansen.   Mr. Smith was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Century Link aka Carolina Telephone Co.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Linda Smith, four sons Dean Smith and wife Tiffany, of Wilmington, NC, Jason Smith of Wilmington, Anthony Smith and wife Bridgette of Faison, and Randall Smith and wife Tawnya of Garland, stepdaughter, Angela Garner and husband Shane of Robbins, two brothers, Richard Smith and wife Patricia of Garland,  Lynn Smith and wife Susan of Garland, and two sisters, Julia Hansen of Clinton, Gaynelle Bryant of Garland, 9 grandchildren, Allen Smith, Santana Smith, Dylan Smith, Xavier Smith, Tatum Smith, Alexa Smith, Larry Gardner, Caleb Garner, and Tyler Garner and 2 great-grandchildren Serenity Smith, Cataleya Smith.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cypress Creek Baptist Church, 1321 Old Fayetteville Rd., Garland, NC

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
