Mr. Wilbert “Jake” Barnes Jr. 75 of 4071 Old Fayetteville Rd., Garland, NC died Monday, December 28, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice W. Barnes January 19, 1964, and wife Faye M. Barnes July 31, 2010, and parents W.W. Barnes Sr. and Effie Mae Barnes., one brother, Wayne “Bo” Barnes Sr.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Beards Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Sandhill Cemetery.
Mr. Barnes is survived by one daughter, Shelia B. Smith (Dale), one son Greg Barnes (Amy) both of Garland, one brother Ralph Barnes (Pat) of Garland, four sisters, Ruth Oliver (Claxton) of Garland, Mildred Jones (Franklin) of White Oak, Pam Best (Ted) of Clinton, Cathy O’Bday (Robert) of Ch
