Timothy "King Fish" Stephen King, a devoted family man and skilled welder, passed away on March 14, 2025, in South Carolina at the age of 53. Born on April 23, 1971, in Bladen County, North Carolina, Tim was a cherished member of his community known for his work ethic and dedication to those he loved.
Tim is survived by his beloved wife, Georgia "Jodie" Mote, and their two daughters, Samatha King Jones and her husband Daniel of Liberty, NC, and Lynsey King Burnside and her husband Josh of Garland, NC. He took immense pride in his role as a father and was particularly fond of his two grandchildren, Daelyn Jones and Madelyn Burnside. Additionally, Tim is survived by his brothers, Kevin Robinson and his wife Kristen, and Jason Robinson and his wife Kimberly, both from Bladenboro. He also leaves behind his sisters, Glenda "Sissy" Thomas and her husband Merlin of Hallsboro, and Hope and her husband Mirko of Italy. Tim was deeply loved and respected by a host of nieces and nephews who will carry fond memories of him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Burton Robinson, and two sisters, Cristy McDaniel and Joy Edwards, and one brother Jimmy Dale Robinson. Their memories will remain a vital part of his legacy as he is remembered by all who knew him.
In honor of Timothy's life, a graveside service will be held on March 22, 2025, at Garland Cemetery in Garland, NC, starting at 1:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather to pay their respects and celebrate the impact he made on their lives.
Tim’s dedication to his work as a welder and his commitment to family will be remembered by all who were fortunate to know him. His spirit lives on through his family, friends, and the countless lives he touched throughout his years.
