Thomas Lee "T L" Ruffin

Mr. Thomas Lee “TL” Ruffin, Jr., 77, of 13885 US Hwy. 701 N., Garland, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in Sampson County.

Thomas was born July 05, 1947, in Sampson County, to the late: Thomas Lee Ruffin & Hazel Strickland Ruffin. TL enjoyed a long career as a Truck Driver. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Peggy Norris Ruffin, siblings: Ruth Gardner; Evelyn Garner; Nelson Ruffin, and Ferrell Ruffin.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 02, 2024, at Beards Chapel Baptist Church, 409 Beards Chapel Loop Road, Garland, NC. Officiating the service will be the Reverend Ralph Carter Jr. & Reverend Eddie Smith. Interment to follow in the Smith Cemetery, 831 Mote Road, Harrells, NC.

TL leaves to cherish his memory, two sons: Michael A. Ruffin and wife Robyn of Salemburg, Jeffrey T. Ruffin (Heidi) of Garland, special friend: Sandra Hammick of Salemburg, two sisters: Faye Sessoms of Roseboro, and Linda Stephens and husband Worth of Roseboro, 7 grandchildren: Katelyn Maynor; Matthew Ruffin; Erin Ruffin; Bryan Baranowski; Kelsie Wade; Kaylee McCullen, and Addison Hood, 3 great-grandchildren: Arlo Wade; Bella Ruffin, and Valerie Pantaleon, and other family members, and friends of the community. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 01, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home, 111 N. Ingold Ave., Garland, NC.
