Tamic'Ka Arlinda (Hooks) Fryar-Rich

Mrs. Tamic’ka Arlinda Hooks Fryar-Rich, 43, of 3918 Harrells Hwy., Garland, NC, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at her residence.

Tamic’ka was born on September 16, 1980, in New Hanover County, to Gerald Davis Hooks and his wife, Glenda Hall Hooks. Tamic’ka graduated from Union High School, class of 99! She studied Medical Office Administration at Sampson Community College. She was attending Ultimate Medical Academy for Medical Coding & Billing. She was a stay at home Mom. She was the light of the room and her smile went a long way.

A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Mount Zion AME Zion Church Cemetery, 114015 Taylors Bridge Hwy, Magnolia, NC.

Left to cherish her precious memories are, her husband: Zavaladraga Rich, her children: Elijah Martin Fryar; Naomi Aquila Rich; Israel Hezekiah Rich, her parents: Gerald Davis Hooks, and Glenda Hall Hooks, two sisters: LaToya Michelle Hooks, and Celinda Furlowe, bestie sisters: Towanta Sampson (aka “Tee”), Sameka McNeil (aka “Mika”), one brother: Gerald D. Furlowe,  nieces: Patience Hooks; Nevaeh Hooks; Nasir Hooks; Hassan Harvey, and Miracle Sampson, aunts: Mary Hall; Martha L. Brown; Peggy Chestnutt; Wilma Hooks Johnson; Glenda Hooks, and Shirley Newkirk, uncles: James L. Hall; Robert Hall (Juanita); Daryl Hall (Pauline); Willard B. Hall (Patricia); Hilder L. Hooks (Maggie); Dudley H. Hooks (Rosalyn), and Rev. Larry Hooks (Glenda), and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A Viewing will be on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 1:00-6:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home, 111 N. Ingold Ave., Garland, NC, with the family present from 5:00-6:00 PM.
