Sudie Mae (Boykin) Anders

Mrs. Sudie Anders, 76, 7035 Old Mintz Hwy., Garland, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Kenansville Health & Rehab Center in Kenansville.

Sudie was born October 30, 1946, in Sampson County, to the late Livest James Boykin and wife Sadie Blanche Boykin. In addition to her parents, Sudie is preceded in death by her husband: Nathaniel Anders, siblings: Lula Mae Boykin; Mamie Lee Johnson; Eunice Shaw; Ethalene Hayes; Cleo Chrensaw; Chevis Boykin; Authur Lee Boykin; Grady Boykin; and Johnny Lee Boykin, and grandson: Jirah Israel Cooper. Sudie enjoyed a career as a Spinner in the Textile Industry for many years. She earned a degree in Early Childhood from Sampson Community College. Sudie was a graduate of Clear Run High School.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Smith Chapel Church, 7485 Old Mintz Hwy, Garland. Interment to follow in the Boykin Cemetery, Garland. Pastor Monde Parker will be officiating the service. Face Mask are required.

Sudie leaves to cherish her memory her children: Charles Ray Anders (Sheila) of Garland; Sonja Benita Anders of the home; Quentin Vaughn Anders (Krista); Regina Anders Cooper of Turkey; Victor Maurice Moore (Andrea) of Ft. Mitchell, AL; and Yolanda Rayner (André) of Clayton. Three sisters, Mary Parker(W.C.) of Fayetteville, Lillian Johnson (James) of Garland, Dorothy Johnson (Thaddeus) of Elizabethtown, two brothers,  Philmore Boykin of Garland, William Boykin (Jeanette) of Mebane, 15 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, from 1:00-6:00 PM, with the family present from 5:00-6:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland. Face Masks are required.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of Vaughn & Krista Anders, 191 Huckleberry Lane, Clinton, NC 28328
