Stewart Lee Tedder

Mr. Stewart Lee Tedder, 50, of 8078 Hwy 242 N., Elizabethtown, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at his residence.

Stewart was born December 01, 1972, in Robeson County, to the late Kenneth Edward Tedder and his wife, Carylon Rackley Tedder. In addition to his parents, Stewart is preceded in death by his wife, Michelle Bishop Tedder, and one grandson, Colton Farrarah. Stewart loved serving the community in various capacities. He was a proud Army Veteran, and a proud Fireman, having served the city of Fayetteville until he retired. Stewart also served the communities of Ammon, Beaver Dam, and Turn Bull as a volunteer fire fighter.

A Graveside Service will be held at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Briar Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, 42 Lula Long Road, Elizabethtown. Reverend Richard Smith with be officiating the service.

Stewart leaves to cherish his memory one sister: Tammie Tedder of Elizabethtown, his step-father: Danny McLemore of Elizabethtown, two nieces: Savanna Tedder, and Aaliyah Leder, two step-daughters: Amber Bishop of Laurinburg, and Alexis Bishop of Laurinburg, two step-sons: Travis Bishop (Krista) of Elizabethtown, Bodie Bishop of Laurinburg, brother Stephen Tedder, five step-grandchildren: Reigha Bishop, Meko Bishop, Logan Bishop, Raylen Farrarah, and Luke Bishop.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 3:00-4:00 PM, one hour prior to the service, at the Briar Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, 42 Lula Long Road, Elizabethtown.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Stewart Tedder’s name, to Carter Funeral Home, PO Box 7, Garland, NC 28441, to offset the cost of the funeral expenses.
