Harrells

Shannon Carmella Gardner, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister, passed away on January 28, 2025, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Born on July 12, 1971, in Sampson County, NC, Shannon was a person who embodied compassion and dedication throughout her life, particularly in her career as a Registered Nurse in the Health Care Industry.

Shannon's life was a tapestry woven with love and care for those around her. She found immense joy in her role as a wife to her husband, Jonathan Gardner, and as a devoted mother to her two cherished children, Megan and Troy Gardner, all of Harrells. Her nurturing spirit extended far beyond her own family, impacting many lives with her warmth and kindness.

She was the proud daughter of Charles and Rosie Carter of Clinton, who instilled in her the values of empathy and perseverance that guided her throughout her journey. Shannon was blessed with three sisters, Elizabeth Richardson of Garland, Mary Carter of Roseboro, and Lisa Pearsall and her husband, Bryant Satterwhite of Clinton, her brother-in-law, Charles Wayne and his wife, Kelly Carter of Clinton, her nieces and nephews: Christopher Tyndall of Warsaw, Nathan Braddy of Garland, Ayden Satterwhite of Clinton, Olivia Satterwhite of Clinton, and Bryson Satterwhite of Clinton, all who will forever remember her radiant smile and loving heart.

Though her time with us was far too brief, Shannon leaves behind a legacy of love and selflessness. She is preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Mamie Brown, her stepfather's, Troy Pearsall, and Richard Furmidge. The loss of Shannon is deeply felt by all who knew her, and her spirit will forever be woven into the hearts of her family and friends.

As we gather to celebrate her remarkable life, we will remember Shannon not only for her professional excellence but also for the extraordinary love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. In these difficult moments, may we find solace in the warmth of her memory and the legacy of caring she leaves behind.

All Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
