Ruth (Staton) Cashwell

Mrs. Ruth Staton Cashwell, 90, of 11500 Old Mintz Hwy. Garland, NC, died Thursday, March 12, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Cashwell was born July 06, 1929 in Richmond Co., Rockingham, NC, the daughter of the late Thomas Washington Staton and Lola Link Staton.  She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Felton Cashwell, three sons Felton Cashwell, Scott Cashwell and Terry Cashwell, and a son-in-law Clay Cannady,eight brothers, JB Staton, Walter Staton, Forney Staton, James Staton, Henry Staton, Clyde Staton, Howard Staton, Roy Lee Staton, five sisters, Louise Smith, Mary Smith, Cloeden Johnson, Thelma Stanley, Eleanor Bentz.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Garland Baptist Church, by the Reverend Ed Rouse and Rev. Darian Parker.  Burial will follow in the Garland Cemetery.

Mrs. Cashwell is survived by three daughters, Rebecca C. Collins and husband Donald of Ammon, NC, Joan C. Garcia and husband Juan of Garland, Sallie C. Cannady of Ocala, Fl, two sons, Hal Cashwell and wife Lori, of Fayetteville, Ga., Myron L. Cashwell and wife Tammy of Garland, two sisters Betty S. Warwick of Elizabethtown, NC Annie Strickland of Garner, NC, 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 6:00 P.M.-8:00P.M. at the Garland Baptist Church 55 West 2nd St., Garland, NC 28441
