Reverend William McKinley Newkirk of 1379 Wilbur-Pridgen Rd. died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, September 01, 2012 at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Ivanhoe, by the Reverend Carozell Henry. Burial will follow in the Newkirk cemetery.
Mr. Newkirk is survived by a son, Charles Newkirk of New York, Step-son, Reginald Blue of Harrells, two-step daughters, Priscilla DeVane of Ivanhoe, NC, Vickie Robinson of Harrells, four sisters, Beatrice Corbett of Ivanhoe, Alberta Layman of Wallace, Dorothy Holmes of Atkinson, Emma Hayes of Ivanhoe, 7 grandchildren.
The public will be received Friday, August 31, 2012 from 1:00PM-7:00P.M. with family present from 6:00P.M.-7:00P.M. at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
