Randall "Peter Rabbit" Preston Autry

Mr. Randall “Peter Rabbit” Preston Autry, 68, of 6611 NC Hwy. 210 E, Harrells, passed away on March 09, 2022 at Bladen Co. Hospital in Elizabethtown, NC.

Randall was born April 30, 1953 to the late Preston and Evelyn Herring Autry in Sampson County.    He attended Sampson County Public Schools and drove trucks until he retired. Randall joined Tomahawk First Baptist Church at an early age and attended until he moved away.    Randall was preceded in death by his wife Beverly Autry.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow at the Tomahawk First Baptist Church Cemetery in Harrells.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons: Ivey Corbett (Pam) Leesburg, VA., Brandell Autry of Kelly, NC two daughters: Felecia Autry, Fayetteville NC, Tamika Hodges (Antonio) Richlands, NC, seven sisters: Shellia Scott, Saint Pauls, NC, Antionette Beatty (David) Harrells, NC, Glynda Robinson (Julius), Fayetteville NC, Linda Hall (Dwight) Beulaville, NC., Beatrice Autry (ALonzo), Parkton, NC., Sharon Thomas, Roseboro, NC., Teresa Autry (Warren), Harrells, NC. Two foster sisters: Loretta Crumpler, Maryland, Linda Newman (William) Clinton, NC. One brother-in-law: Curtis Johnson Jr., three sister-in-law’s: Rhonda Johnson, JoAnn Johnson & Curtistine Gordon. Four Uncles: Gerald Herring (Margaret), Durham NC., Carnell Herring(Faye), Morrow Ga., Oscar Autry Jr, (Delma), Elizabethtown, NC. & Jerome Boykin, Wilmington, NC. Two Aunts: Dorothy Autry, Elizabethtown, NC. & Barbara Autry, Lumberton, NC. Nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. Two special friends: Barbara Corbett, Leesburg, VA & Vivian Highsmith, Harrells, NC.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.

The public will be received on Friday, March 18, 2022, from 1:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M., with the family present from 5:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M., at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
