Mr. Wilton “Boogie” Clayton Baker, 74, of 6193 US Highway 701 N., died on Sunday, March 2, 3014 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Colly Chapel Church with the Rev. Jim Woodruff officiating. Burial will follow in the Windsor United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Baker was the son of the late William Clayton and Annie Mae Smith Baker. He was preceded in death by wife, Betty Baker; daughter, Wanda Barnes; brother, Franklin Baker.
He is survived by: companion, Kathy Shearer, of Clayton; three daughters, Patsy Croom and Delores Mote, both of Elizabethtown and Kim Long, of Dunn; son, Michael Moxley, of Laurel Hill; four step-children, Sonya Shearer and Jimmy Shearer, both of Clayton, John Shearer, of Four Oaks and Debra Jones, of South Carolina; brother, Billy Baker, of Roseboro; sister, Jean Russ, of Fayetteville; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday night from 7:00 till 9:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
