Mr. Willie James Smith 80 of 15919 NC Hwy. 701 North, Garland, died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville, NC.
Mr. Smith was born April 09, 1934 in Allegheny Co., in Pittsburgh, Pa., the son of the late Marcella Smith and Sarah Henry Smith. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his first wife, Hiawath Powell Smith, and a son Normal Smith.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 23, 2014 at St. Stephens AME Zion Church 51 East 3rd. St., Garland, NC. Burial will follow in the Garland Community Cemetery 271 Hill Circle Rd., Garland, NC.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Willa J. Smith, three daughters, Penelope Smith of Elizabethtown, Zenobia Brack of Rosedale, NY,Linda Smith of Newkark, NJ, one son Willie J. Smith Jr., of Garland, one bro
