Mr. William T. Merritt, of 120 Southwood Dr., died Monday, January 06, 2014 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton, NC.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Wards Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie C. Alford officiating. Burial will follow in the Allen Chapel Community Cemetery.
Mr. Merritt is survived by: three brothers, James B. Jacobs, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, Stephen Jacobs, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and Floyd Jacobs, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts; four sisters, Virginia Williams, Brenda Jacobs, Marge Jacobs, all of Pittsfield, Massachusetts and Lottie M. Fowler, of Rose Hill.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 from 1:00 till 5:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
