Mr. Walter Eddis Rich
February 21, 1925 — August 28, 2015
Mr. Walter Eddis Rich 90, of 1745 Lamb Rd. Garland, passed away Friday August 28, 2015 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. He was born Febuary 21, 1925 to the late J.W. and Viola Bordeaux Rich.
Eddis is survived by his wife Mildred of 71 years, children: Viola Marshall (Bobby), Elaine Carroll (Elworth) and E.C. Rich (Connie), 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
He was preceeded in death by infant brother Roland Rich, brother Paul Dixon Rich, sisters Mary Alice Jackson and Josephine Smith.
Eddis was an oil truck driver for many years. Heart surgery caused his retirement from Waste Industries in 2009 at the age of 84.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 1 at Garland Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Pastors Billy Bass, Dewey Ball and Marty Tew officiating. Burial will follow in
