Mr. Sylvester “Beck” Murphy 84 of 208 Mercer Mill Rd. Elizabethtown, NC, formerly of Harrells, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 20, 2013 at Carter Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Murphy Cemetery in Harrells, NC.
Mr. Murphy is survived by 3 sisters, Lucille Highsmith of Philadelphia, Pa, Arlene Highsmith of Harrells, Marie Henry of Orange, NJ. 3 step-grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchildren.
The public will be received Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 1:00PM-5:00P.M. at Carter Funeral Home in Garland, and before the service.
