Mrs. Lizzy Betsy Carter 88 of 95 East 3rd St. Garland, NC, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. Carter was born April 24, 1926 in Sampson Co., NC, the daughter of the late Manson Brock and Mary Bufkin Brock.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 27, 2015 at Carter Funeral Home, by the Reverend Danny Rich. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM Friday, February 27, 2015 at Jennie's Branch Baptist Church, 5256 Beach Dr., Southwest, Shallotte, NC 28470.
Mrs. Carter is survived by one daughter, Peggy Brock of Garland, one son, Thomas Carter of Lumberton, 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren.
