Mrs. Kathryn Carter Brown, 94, of 497 W. Second Street, Garland, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at her home.
Mrs. Brown was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of the late Addison and Lula Rich Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband the Rev. R.M. Brown.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Garland Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Marty Tew officiating. Burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery.
She is survived by: three sons, Richard Brown and wife Katherine and Linwood Brown and wife June, all of Garland and Mark Brown and wife LaVeryl, of Virginia Beach, VA; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
