Mrs. Helen Faye Byrd Smith

Mrs. Helen Faye Byrd Smith 71 of 556 West. 2nd St., died Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at her residence.

Mrs. Smith was born December 03, 1943 in Pender Co., the daughter of the late Mamie Miller Byrd and Johnny Frank Byrd. She was owner/operator of Day Care Center.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Garland Church of God of Prophecy by the Reverend Jimmy Hall, and Reverend Grant Russell. Burial will follow in the Garland Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, William Smith, four daughters, Lisa Powell, Wanda Johnson, Penny Spell all of Garland, Angela Spell of Roseboro, two sisters, Lois Rochelle of Jacksonville, NC, Alice Blackburn of Wallace, three brothers, Johnny Byrd, Tommy Byrd both of Mt. Oli
