Mrs. Doshia Mae Murphy Pridgen, 86, of 451 East Front Street, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Garland First Baptist Church with Dr. Louis Hackett officiating. Burial will follow in Fennell Memorial Park in Harrells.
Mrs. Pridgen is survived by: two daughters, Jeannette Pridgen, of Garland and Joyce Smith, of Forked River, NJ: one son, Thurman Murphy, of Spring Hope; one sister, Anna Bell Murphy, of Garland; 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren.
A public viewing will be held on Friday from 1:00 till 7:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Garland with the family present from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.
