Mrs. Charlie Mae Boykin, 89, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Southwood Nursing Center in Clinton.

Charlie Mae was born December 18, 1931 in Sampson County to the late Charlie Stephens Jacobs and Lillie Hayes. She is preceded in death by her husband: Omax Boykin, sister: Elois Matthews and brother: Eugene Jacobs.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 03, 2021 at Wards Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Delway Hwy., Rose Hill. Reverend Mack Ray Mitchell Sr. will be officiating the service.

Charlie Mae leaves to cherish her memory five daughters: Fannie Lillian West of Delway; Glennette McNeil of Clinton; Herma Powell (Robert) of Orlando, FL; Carmen Becton (Keith) of Waycross; Deirdre Johnson (Robert) of Winterville, three sons: Barry Jacobs of Fayetteville; Linwood Robinson of Harrells; Ricky Robinson (Linda) of Greenville, one sister: Arrest Evans (Berl) of Rose Hill, one brother: James Jacobs of Queens, NY, 19 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A public viewing will be held on Monday, August 02, 2021 from 1:00-6:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Garland with the family present from 5:00-6:00 PM.
