Mrs. Carrie Mae Murphy

Mrs. Carrie Mae Murphy 100 of 538 Old Cotton Gin Rd. Roseboro, NC, formerly of the Garland Community, died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at home in the Midway Community.

She was born May 5, 1914 in Lower Sampson County to the late Bertha Council Bratton.She was raised by her grandparents, the late Zeb and Martha Cromartie Council. She was preceded in death by her husband,Leamon Murphy and a twin daughter Mary, and a son-in-law, Paul Bowie.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday November 24, 2014 at Point Level Disciples Church 286 Vann Rd., Clinton NC, by the Elder Danny Robinson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Murphy is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Annie Mae Baggett (Troy Lee) and Mrs. Martha Bowie (Paul Bowie, deceased) of Roseboro ,North Carolina, six grandchildren, Gale Jones (
