Mrs. Beatrice Victoria Newkirk Corbett, 97, of 2881 Dr. Kerr Road, died on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Pender Memorial Hospital in Burgaw, NC.
Born on June 24, 1917 in Sampson County to the late Willie and Maggie Corbett Newkirk. She was a sales clerk before retiring.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 27, 2014 at Snow Hill Baptist Church in Ivanhoe. Burial will follow in the Newkirk Cemetery.
Mrs. Corbett is survived by daughter, Florence Newkirk of the home, three sisters, Alberta Layman of Wallace, Emma Hayes and Dorothy Homes both of Ivanhoe.
The public will be received from 1:00P.M.-6:00P.M. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Carter Funeral Home in Garland, with family present from 5:00PM-6:00P.M.
