Mrs. Alice Faye Johnson 70 of 3361 Lamb Rd. Garland, NC died Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Southwood Nursing Center in Clinton, NC.
Mrs. Johnson was born December 25, 1942 in Sampson Co. the daughter of the late Walter Carl Benton and Hettie Davis. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband Billy Joe Johnson and a brother J.C. Benton. She retired from Garland Shirt Factory/Brook’s Brothers with 30 years of service as cafeteria manager.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Garland Baptist Church, by the Reverend Bryan Strickland. Burial will follow in the Bordeaux-Johnson Cemetery, in Garland.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by one son, Carl Wayne Johnson and wife Joan of Garland, one sister, Deborah White of Dunn, NC, 2 grandchildren, Austin & Dillon Johnson of Garland.
The family will receive friends from 6:00P.M.-8:00P.M. Friday, September 27, 2013 at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
