Mr. Lee Roy Smith 81 of 185 Smith Mill Pond Rd., died Sunday, January 12, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Beards Chapel Baptist Church 409 Beards Chapel Loop Rd., Garland, NC, by the Reverend Barry Helms and Reverend Amos Smith. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery, Mote Rd., Harrells, NC.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Cornell S. Smith, one daughter Connie Guyton of Garland, two sisters, Juanita Hilton, of Enfield, NC, Donnie Carter of Chesapeake, Va., three brothers, Bobby Smith, Milton Smith both of Garland, Lacy Smith of Tallahassee, Fl., 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00P.M. Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Carter Funeral Home, in Garland.
