Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 05, 2013 at Carter Funeral Home, by Minister Anthony Lamb. Burial will follow in the Fennell Memorial Park in Harrells, NC.
Mr. Highsmith is survived by wife, Arlene Highsmith, six daughters, Brenda Highsmith, Addie Herring, Anese Gibbs all of Garland,Vivian Highsmith, Jean Highsmith, Juanita Newkirk all of Harrells, seven sons, Floyd Highsmith, Jeffery Highsmith, Willie Highsmith of Garland, Samuel Highsmith of Tea Neck, NJ, Glenn Highsmith of Charlotte, Carlton Highsmith of Harrells, Harold Highsmith of Raleigh, two sisters, Lucille Highsmith of Philadelphia, Pa, Marie Henry of Newark NJ, 110 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren.
The public will be received from 1:00 P.M-7:00P.M. Friday, October 04, 2013 at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
