Mr. Garfield Cromartie

July 22, 1916 — October 25, 2015

Mr. Garfield Cromartie 99 of 340 Brooklyn Ave., died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at his residence.


Mr. Cromartie was born July 22, 1916 in Sampson Co., the son of the late Callie DeVane Cromartie and Paul Cromartie. Mr. Garfield was a farmer and worked for over 40 years with Clear Run Farms in Harrells and was known for his world famous Liver Pudding.


Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 30, 2015 at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist, by the Reverend Willie C. Alford. Burial will follow in the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church Cemetery.


Mr. Cromartie is survived by his wife, Mamie Jane Cromartie, two daughters, Mattie Cromartie of Harrells, Alice C. Lamb of Wilmington, two sisters, Ellrie Cromartie of Wilmington, Marie Middl
