Mr. Tracey Smith “Daddy Rabbit” as many friends knew him of 320 Bowen Rd. passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Smith was born May 28, 1951 to the late William Eddis Smith and Louise Matthews Smith. He was a native of Sampson Co. He was born, raised and lived his entire life in “Harrells" Store.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 17, 2014 at Kyle’s Farm 380 Ward Rd., Harrells, NC, by the Reverend Sam Grist, and Reverend Jimmy Flowers. Burial will follow in the Harrells Cemetery, in Harrells, NC.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 42 years, Glenda Smith of home, daughter, Nancy Ricks of Harrells, son, Keith Smith and wife Tabitha Smith of Pin Hook, daughter, Beverly Naylor and husband Melvin Naylor of Harrells, 6 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, two brothers, Houston Smith of Harrells, Ronnie Smith and wife Ellen of Clinton,and sister Patricia Pearson and husband Glenn of Denver, NC, & several aunts, uncles, cousins, & lifelong friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM.-8:00P.M. Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Carter Funeral Home, and other times at the home.
Mr. Smith’s family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, support, and phone calls during this difficult time. We will forever be grateful.
