Mr. Eddie Crumpler, 71, of Cutchogue, New York, formerly of Garland, died on Saturday, October 19, 2013 in New York.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, 3013 at 1:00 P.M. at Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church in Harrells. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Eddie was educated in the Garland North Carolina public school system. He worked numerous jobs over the years and retired after twenty-five years from Mullen Motor in Southhold, New York.
Eddie was preceded in death by two brothers: Thomas and James Crumpler.
Eddie is survived by: his ex-wife, Marie Inez Crumpler Peterson; one sister, Patricia Crumpler Wright of Philadelphia, PA; one brother, Robert Crumpler of California; two sons; Connie Ray Chestnut of North Carolina and Zonte Scott of the Bronx, NY ; three nephews: Patrrick, Herbert and Tony of Philadelphia, PA; three nieces: carol, Valerie and Helena of Philadelphia, PA; six grandchildren: Dedrick Hutley of New York, Samarie Crumpler, Sophia Crumpler, T.C., T.G, and Brittney of North Carolina as well as a host of additional nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
A public viewing will be held on Friday from 1:00 till 5:00 P. M. at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
