Mr. Daniel Fitzgerald Beatty, 52, of Durham, formerly of Harrells, NC, died on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Mt. Elam Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Rainey officiating. Burial will follow in the Boykin-Herring Cemetery in Garland.
Mr. Beatty is survived by: mother, Daisy Battle of Stanton Island, NY; sister, Darcel Battle of Greensboro; brother, Rodrick Battle of Freeport, New York and a special aunt, Grace B. Devane.
