Mrs. Melva Barnes Johnson 98 of 15269 US Hwy. 701 N., died Saturday, June 04, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband Tommie Johnson, one son Paul Johnson, one son-in-law, Ronald Smith
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 08, 2016 at Beards Chapel Baptist Church, by the Reverend Barry Helms and Reverend Jim Woodruff. Burial will follow in the Sandhill cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by two daughters, Faye Smith of Fayetteville, Gayle Braley of Apex, one son, Malcom L. Johnson of Castle Hayne, 5 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 08, 2016 from 1:00P.M. 1:45 P.M. before the service at the Church.
