Mrs. Mary Ann Riley, 86, of 368 West 3rd St, Garland, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh.
Mary Ann was born July 21, 1934 in Lynchburg, VA. She is preceded in death by her son: Bradley Ford Rogers and her parents: Daniel and Pearle Hamlett, six brothers: Wilson, Woodrow, Dewitt, Isaac, Charles, and Dean, nine sisters: Ruth, Esther, Ruby, Eva, Laura, Imogene, Lois, Nancy and Mamie. Mrs. Riley was a school teacher with the public school system for many years.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1690 Trinity Church Road, Magnolia, NC. A viewing will be held after the service. The service will be officiated by Reverend Ed Rouse.
Mary Ann leaves to cherish her memory her husband: James Thomas “J.T.” Riley of the home, two step-sons: George Riley of Clinton, NC, Scotty Riley of Lumberton, NC, one step-daughter: Barbara Dell Burton of Lusby, MD, one-sister: Ida Mae H. Harper “Polly” and husband Marvin of Madison Heights, VA and one brother-in-law: Rev. Woody Hudson of Rustburg, VA.
