Mack Ray Rich

Mr. Mack Ray Rich, 80, of 2704 NC Highway 210 West, Garland, NC passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Hillcrest Convalescent Center in Durham, NC.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Cypress Creek Baptist Church, 1321 Old Fayetteville Road, Garland, NC with Reverend Richard Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Mack was born January 27, 1941 to the late Oscar Rich Sr. and Margaret Hicks Rich. He was the owner and operator of Mack Rich Logging and Trucking Company. He is preceded in death by his wife: Mary Ellen Rich, daughter: Sherry Rich, son: Rodney Rich, brother: Arthur Rich  and sister: Donna Lou Smith.

Mr. Rich is survived by his son: Anthony Rich and wife Gloria of Garland, two sisters: Mary Bell Hester of Fayetteville; Sylvia Rich Church of Hampstead and one brother: Oscar Rich Jr. of Garland and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30 PM prior to the service on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Cypress Creek Baptist Church in Garland.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the care given to Mack by Learning Services, Southern Rehabilitation Network and Hillcrest Convalescent Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cypress Creek Baptist Church, 1321 Old Fayetteville Road, Garland, NC 28441 for the cemetery fund.
