Lula Belle (Melvin) Miller

Mrs. Lula Belle Melvin Miller, 93, of 155 Boren Brick Rd., Roseboro, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023, at Sampson Regional Medical Center, in Clinton, North Carolina.

Mrs. Lula Belle was born May 11, 1929, in Sampson County, to the late Oscar Melvin and his wife Elizabeth Crenshaw Melvin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Lenton Miller, two sons:  Junior C. Moore (JC) and Michael Oscar Moore, and one grandson, Michael Moore.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 13, 2023, at Smith Chapel Church, 7485 Old Mintz Hwy., Garland. Interment to follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 3620 Roseboro Hwy., Clinton. Elder Perry LeeMonde' Parker will be officiating the service.

Mrs. Miller leaves to cherish her memory one son: Darryl Miller and wife Linda of Roseboro and one daughter: Veronica Miller of the home,  daughter-in-law: Terecia Moore of Roseboro, five grandchildren: Allison Moore; Brian Moore, Darryl Miller Jr.,  LaQuisha Miller; Treyvon Owens,  7 great-grandchildren, Javae’d Johnson, Adare Johnson, Caleb Moore, Jahmai Rich, Amelia Rich, Brielle Moore and Ayden Phillips, God-daughter: Jessica Adam.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 1:00-6:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland, with the family present from 5:00-6:00 PM.
