Lucian Highsmith, Jr.

Mr. Lucian Highsmith, Jr., 68, of 7020 Wildcat Road, Harrells, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC.

Lucian was born on February 08, 1954, to the late Isaiah and Annie Mae Highsmith. Lucian attended the Bladen County school system and became a construction worker and a superintendent for over 45 years. To reading Blue Prints and Plans.

At an early age he joined The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Sergeant at Arm. He is preceded in death by his mother: Mrs. Annie Mae Highsmith, father: Isaiah Highsmith, and brother: Idell Highsmith, nephew: Aaron McLamb.

Loving memories will be forever cherished in the hearts of many such as his wife: Margie Highsmith of the home, one son: Gale Highsmith (Chrissy); one daughter: Tonya Highsmith of Garland, NC , two granddaughters: Cherokee West and Rain West, two grandsons; Treshon Highsmith; Shawn West, two step-grandsons: Kendal Melvin; Tyler Pruitt, seven sisters: Elois Robinson (Harvey) of Ivanhoe, NC; Helen Denkins (Leo) of Kelly, NC; Elaine Highsmith (Floyd) of Garland, NC; Mary Highsmith of Fayetteville, NC; Shirley Corbett of Harrells, NC; Annie Murphy of SC; Doris Highsmith of Hawaii; six brothers: Ernest Highsmith (Tiffany) of Calabash, NC; Connie Ray Highsmith (Brenda) of Harrells, NC; Anthony Highsmith (Priscilla) of Garland, NC; Scottie Highsmith (Sis) of White Lake, NC; Vincent Highsmith (Carla) of Fayetteville, NC; and Dennis Highsmith (Rochelle) of Raleigh, NC, special nephew: Douglass Highsmith, other special nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and special cousin: Sister Bernice Highsmith.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Airport Road, in Garland. Interment to follow in the Fennell Memorial Park Cemetery in Harrells. Minister Anthony Lamb will be officiating the service.

A Viewing will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, from 1:00-6:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland. The family will be present from 5:00-6:00 PM to receive friends.
