Lottie M. Fowler was born April 2, 1938, to the late David and Ella McNeil. She heard the Master’s Call on December 31, 2023, surrounded by family. There she transitioned from labor to reward.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her son Ralph Terry McNeil, and her brother William T. Merritt. Lottie Mae was born and raised in Sampson County. Where she received her early education. Sometime after graduating high school Lottie moved to Massachusetts where she met and married Branch Fowler. To this union, one daughter was born. Upon returning to North Carolina Lottie joined Wards Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an Usher, on the Missionary Board, and a member of the Unity in The Community Committee. She was a proud member of The Order of The Eastern Star, Maggie L. Strong Chapter 639, where she served as Worthy Matron for over twelve years.
She is Survived By: Daughters: Cassandra Cuvilje, Rose Hill, NC, and Darlene Maynor (Nick) Rose Hill, NC, Grandchildren: Kiswana Peterson, Burgaw, NC, Jaquante Peterson, Rose Hill, NC and Quanocia Peterson, Rose Hill, NC, Great-Grandchildren: Sa’ny Highsmith, Devon Highsmith, Uriah Peterson, and a Host of Cousins, Other Family & Friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, January 05, 2024, at Wards Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 3764 Delway Hwy, Harrells. Interment to follow in the Allen Community Cemetery, Herring Road, Rose Hill. Reverend Gregory Stringfield will be officiating the service.
A Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 04, 2024, from 1:00-6:00 PM, with the family present from 5:00-6:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home, 111 N. Ingold Ave, Garland.
