Lenburg "Bird" Underwood Jr.

Mr. Lenburg “Bird” Underwood Jr., 41, formerly of Ingold Community, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Duke University Hospital, in Durham, NC.

Mr. Underwood was born December 06, 1979 in Sampson Co. He was preceded in death by his father, Lenburg Underwood Sr.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Garland Community Cemetery in Garland.

Mr. Underwood is survived by his mother: Ethel H. Tatum of Clinton, two sisters: Linda Howard and Connie Howard both of Fayetteville, two brothers: Earl Lenburg McLean of Rocky Mount and Willie Howard of Garland and a host of nieces and nephews.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 1:00 PM-6:00 PM with family present from 5:00-6:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home 111 N. Ingold Ave., Garland, NC 28441.
