Karen Marie (Lomax) Priest

Mrs. Karen Marie Priest, 62, of 311 Hummingbird Lane, Council, NC, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Lower Cape Fear Life Care in Bolivia, NC.

Karen was born June 05, 1959, in Bladen County to the late Roy Lomax and wife Elaine Janson Lomax. She loved to serve the community and worked for over 25 years as a Sales Agent with Nationwide Insurance Company. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Carver’s Creek Methodist Church in Bladen County. Reverend Jimmy Tatum and Mr. Dale Taylor will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends after the service in the church’s fellowship hall.

Karen leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband: David Priest of the home, daughter: Julie Fulford and husband Brett of Supply, son: Christopher Priest of Council, brother: Allan Lomax and wife Jane of West Jefferson, and the light of her eyes, her 5 grandchildren: Claire; Hadley; Harlee; Zeke; and Ruger.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Mount Horeb Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 407 Munroe Rd. Council, NC  28434
