God Almighty saw his pain and burdens.
He dispatched his Heavenly Angels into the hospital room to bring his servant home.
Joseph Toraine was born to the late Ambuse Torain and Emma C. Oliver in Sampson County. He attended school within the Sampson County Public School System and graduated from Clear Run High School. He attended Sampson Technical Community College where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
He honorably served in the US Army as a Staff Sergeant in which he earned numerous awards and commendations for excellent service.
He worked as a supervisor at the Lundy Packing Company. He worked as a Veterans Administration Officer helping Veterans of Foreign Wars for years. He also became certified and worked as a USDA Inspector for over 20 years before retiring in 2000.
He was installed as Deacon at Little Piney Baptist Church where he diligently served and worshiped God Almighty.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Lois Toraine, two sons, Andre Toraine of Newport News VA, Demond Toraine of Raleigh NC; two grandchildren, Alexis Toraine and Madison Toraine of Hampton VA, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, March 27, 2020 at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Clinton.
A walk-through visitation will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2020 from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
