John Lite Owens

John Lite Owens, was born December 28, 1955, to the late, Marvin and Bessie Owens. He departed this life on February 12, 2024.

Preceded in death by his parents, oldest grandson: Christopher A. Wright, brothers: Jimmy, Harry, Douglas, Daniel, and Arthur, sisters: Mimi Gail, Sandra, Carolyn, Betty, Sennie, and Cathy.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland. Interment to follow the service at Owens Cemetery, Parkway Avenue, Cypress Creek. Deacon Leander Owens will be officiating the service.

Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife: Dorothy Owens, daughters: Shannon Owens, Melissa Owens, Kimberly Owens, Torri Owens, and Devon Owens, sons: Jonathon Owens, Brandon (Lakisha) Owens, Todd Owens, Matthew Owens, and Justin Williams, sisters: Janice (Jerry) Highsmith, Patricia (James) Sellers, Phyllis (James) Monk, and Debor Lloyd, brothers: Don Ray (Joyce) Owens, Leander (Annie) Owens, Marvin (Christina) Owens, and Howard (Everlene) Owens, 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and many friends.

A viewing will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 1:00-6:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
