Jerry Lee New

Mr. Jerry Lee New, 58, of 101 Marada Road, Maxton, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

Jerry was born April 12, 1963, in Davidson County to the late Harold Roy New and Sallie Mae Smith New. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son: Curtis H. New. Jerry loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking, painting, and creating art. He loved being a Christian and part of a church. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, and will be missed by all.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Springfield Church of God, 10101 Gibson Road, Laurel Hill, NC. Interment to follow the service at Oak Grove Cemetery in Maxton, NC.

Jerry leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife: Karrie Lucille Denson, two daughters: Kristin Vasquez and husband Francisco of Newton Grove; Diane “Paige” New of Clinton, two sisters: Karen Brown and husband Frank of Garland; Debbie Robinson and husband Dale of Garland, one brother: Robert New of Garland, 6 grandchildren, one spoiled fur-baby named Psycho Bob Denson, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Carter Funeral Home in Garland on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 4:00-6:00 PM. Then again prior to the service on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Springfield Church of God in Laurel Hill from 2:00-2:50 PM.
