Jeffery "Jeff" Franklin Sellars

Mr. Jeffery “Jeff” Franklin Sellars, 79, of 1565 Tomahawk Hwy., Harrells, NC, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill. 

Mr. Sellars was born February 03, 1945, in Sampson County, the son of the late Joel Ivory Sellars and Lillie Mae Fennell Sellars. In addition to his parents, Jeff is preceded in death by his wife: Margaret Hooks Sellars, his son: SSG Jeffrey Tyrone Sellars, his siblings: Willie Ras Sellars; Edna Sellars Lewis, and Betty Sellars Johnson.  

 A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at (Noon) 12:00 PM, at Keathern Missionary Baptist Church, 92 Bland School Rd., Harrells, NC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Jeffrey Howard will be officiating the service.

Jeff leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Donna (Kelvin) Hooks Stevens of Delway, NC; Tammy Sellars Tatum, of Harrells, NC; MSG Michael F. Sellars (Ret) of Fayetteville, NC; Lisa Sellars Joyner of Harrells, NC, siblings: Glorious Sellars Alford of Harrells, NC; Jimmy Lee Sellars of Washington, DC; Ivory Henry Sellars of Philadelphia, PA, aunts: Mary Pollard Sellers of Harrells, NC; Gwendolyn Herring Spencer of Harrells, NC, grandchildren: Maurice T. Tatum; Alexandria A. Broadie; Jordan T. Sellars; Marisa T. Tatum; Jeffrey Tyrone Sellars II; Ashlee J. Joyner, great-grandchild: Cochise Sellars, and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, friends, and many others grafted by love into our family. 

The public will be received on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 1:00-6:00 PM, with family present from 5:00-6:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home, and, other times at the home of Lisa S. Joyner, 2430 Herring Rd., Rosehill, NC 28458.
