Jane (Smith) Cain

Mrs. Lillie Jane Cain 79, of 15704 US Hwy 701 North Garland, NC, died Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Bladen Co. Hospital in Elizabethtown, NC.

Mrs. Cain was born December 24, 1939 in Bladen Co., the daughter of the late Luther Sanford Smith and Nannie Bell Robinson Smith. She retired after 37 years with the ASCS office. She was member Board of Directors of Bladen Community College, and volunteer at Bladen County Hospital. A faithful long-time member of Cypress Creek Baptist Church and a talented floral designer.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Cypress Creek Baptist Church, by the Reverend Richard Smith and Mr. Dale Smith.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Cain is survived by her husband Mr. William R. “Toot” Cain, two sisters, Gladys Johnson of Garland, Joette Pate and husband Wayne Pate of Garland, nieces, Rita Coffey, Jennifer Coble, Vicky Nagy, Molly Barber, nephews, Timothy Pate, Lynn Johnson, Dale Smith, Douglas Smith, Michael Cain, Kevin Cain.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 10:00A.M.-10:50A.M., at the church fellowship hall before the service.
