Jamison Lee Smutko of Garland was born August 11, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, NC.  While he was a tiny precious baby, the good Lord needed him more.

Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Brian Smutko and Nakachia Murphy Smutko of Garland. His extraordinary big brother Jackson Nathaniel that lovingly called Jami “Baby Shark”. Grandparents: Dennis and Angela Smutko of Clinton, Robert Mathis of Hampton, VA and Vernet Murphy of Garland. Great-Great Grandparents: Ronald and Andrea Tackett of Clinton. Aunts: Tammi Maynor (Jerome) of Hope Mills, Freda Brown (Alvin) of Fayetteville, and Courtney Lee Mixon of Salemburg. Uncles: Jermaine Sloan of New York and Rolante Faison of Wallace, Matthew Smutko (Catherine) of Southport, Christopher Smutko, and Zachary Smutko (Amber). Godparents: Pastor Darius Ballard and Tiffany Thompson (Brad).

Though only here briefly, Jamison touched so many lives. Fly high, little buddy!

Your life was a blessing.

Your memory a treasure.

You are loved beyond words

And missed.

The family will receive friends at the home of Vernet Murphy, 90 N. Herring Ave, Garland, NC.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Trinity AME Zion Church Cemetery, Tomahawk Hwy., Harrells, NC. The Reverend Darius Ballard will be officiating the service.
